From John Butty To Big Papa Now Pon It- Cralorboi CIC Career In Review

Considering the point Cralorboi CIC is at in his musical career, this is just the rightful time to review his career. The emerging hours, The set back, The come back and of course the unstoppable beast he turned himself into. How he beat the odds to become one of the greatest of all time in Liberia. Before I begin with the review, I confess that CIC career is huge; I won't be able to cover everything therefore I will only review the importants parts of his career and I will also let you know that It's impossible to write CIC career without giving credit to King Jaffa, the only King In a democratic government(Hailing)

It all started With "John Butty" featuring legendary F Dot A. Like wildfire, John Butty spread Nationwide with just a blink of an eye, giving him a stand in the industry. It's funny how he created his own genre of music and place John Butty on it. The 'Kolo Pop'. I think it's the Liberian version of Afro pop lol. The official video was released months later featuring Christoph The Change and King Jaffa.

Unlike many Liberian artists, CIC felt uncomfortable with having just one hit song as he joined forces with Casimony, Christoph The Change and Chiller Coolnanee to delivered a street Athen dubbed "Shout Out" Shout Out became an instant hit. It's save to say after the release of Shout Out, His relevance grew like American chicken (koloqua term). It official video was released months after. Taking into consideration the huge success of Shout Out, CIC agreed to remix it; this time, He joined force with JB of Soul Fresh and Bucky Raw. The Remix was dedicated to the ladies. Shout Out remix turns out to be the worst decision he have ever made in the music scene as fans in and around Liberia cries out for the original song. He went on releasing hits after hits (Pekin John featuring Jaredo and Brother featuring Casimony and a hit single tittle Advice). At the same time he was featured on one of Kobazzie biggest song ever dubbed 'Drink On Me'

Fast forward On MARCH 3 2017, Tears Filled every corner, and hearts. A tragedy that will never forget in Liberia happened. An accident leaving one dead, one seriously injured and two with a minor injured. The controversies appear for the first time in his career. Broken leg CIC left the scene. While in sideline, CIC music speaks volumes till his return. In July 2017, Marks the return of the Chief In Command as he dash out two songs(A single dubbed PRAYER and a joint tagged ITCHY RITCHY). Like always, both songs played from street to street house to house. Despite having a nightmare year in 2017, CIC went on to win numerous awards that sum up to make 2017 an unforgettable year for him. He won

Early in 2018, another controversies in CIC career spark up after releasing another instant hit collaboration dubbed SALAADO. Liberian in and out of Liberia slammed him and accused him saying "he knows something about the death of QB".

Fresh out of the box of controversies in 2018, CIC started the search of international recognitions. If I was ask to describe CIC 2018, I'd say it was the year he turned himself into an unstoppable beast. A year like no other, CIC release his first international collaboration with Ghanaian Joey B along with a video. Unlike other songs from CIC kitchen 'Hello' was a slow poison. It won the the hearts of music lovers gradually. Slowly and steadily we begin to vib on the weekend. Weekend featuring Iyayan was released along with a video and it ruled the country like Jorweah. CIC went on to win the First LYA artist of the year 2018. In the same year, CIC dominated LMA by bagging three awards in three respective categories

2019, CIC released his first Album dubbed 1994(The Throne). The Album features international artist like Medikal, Mzvee and the lists goes on. I woke up in the morning to be great oops sorry I'm trying to let you know that "Morning" is my favorite song on "The Thrown Album" despite it being the second most played song on the album losing the number 1 spot to "The One" featuring Mzvee. In the same year Cralorboi CIC hosted the first Let Me Be Great Concert which turned out to be successful. He walked away With Album of the year for the album 1994 The Throne at the 2019 Tunesliberia award ceremony.

Lately in 2019 he release another instant hit tagged Big Papa. Though many music lovers blast him for releasing a child play video for such a song.

Before 2020, The Dirty works(Koloqua term) in his career have already been done. The only thing he had to do is keeping his spot in the industry yet it was a crazy and difficult year for him. In one of his post on social media, CIC admitted having a thought of quiting music. It's with on doubt that the Covid worsening the problems he faced last year. For the first time in three years, CIC was missing at most of the major awards ceremony in Liberia. Like I said he only needs to do things that will maintain his spot in the industry and he did by releasing freestyle, and few songs. Big Papa won him the song of the year at the Tunesliberia award ceremony in 2020. So far, so good and as far my research carried me, that was the only award he won 2020. The second editions of the Let Me Be Great Concert was hosted in 2020 too.

Mid this month, Cralorboi CIC celebrated five years of being a signed artist at SOG and thanking them while saying farewell. On yesterday, Cic celebrated his Birthday, releasing a song full of nothing but good vibes, that will get you through the Independence celebration and beyond. The single is dubbed PON IT.
