Rape in Liberia have continue to be a major problem as it's recorded that each day that comes more them two cases are registered in the various police station. The sad thing about it is that the Liberian government ain't taking the issue seriously. Countless of protests have been staged by Liberian on this issue in question yet to no avail.
It's believe that the lower house has passed the budget with "Zero Dollar" allotment to fight rape in Liberia; this did not go down well with many activists in Liberia as they gather in Numbers infront of the Capitol Building in Monrovia.
Months ago, Rape was declared as national emergency by President George Weah at a keynote conference. He promised to improve support for rape survivors. Sadly, There has not been any progress made by the government’s of Liberia.
