Weeks ago, Liberia experienced the most bloody crusade hosted by one of Liberia most famous Man Of God, Apostle Abraham Kromah. The crusade which took place in the borough of New Kru Town will forever live in the memories of Liberian especially the victims families. According To Source from the Redemption Hospital,29 persons were killed. (18 adults and 11 children) while fifteen (15) were injured (6 in emergency room, 2 in maternity wards and 7 children respectively) after the Stampede. Many reports have blemed the zogos for the death of many believers who purposely went to worship the Lord and linking their actions to government officials and oppositions.
Liberian all round the country are in high spirits for the commemoration and celebration of the Bicentennial (Celebrating Liberia 200 years of existences) which officially begin on February 11 2022. Follow up by the National Muslim Pray Day at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium hosted by the National Muslim Council on February 12, And on February 13, National Christian Prayer day at the Executive Mansion hosted by the National Christian Council 10:00 AM. On February 14th, Bicentennial LIBERTY FESTIVAL (LIBERFEST) musical and cultural Festival at the Samuel Kanyan Doe Sports Complex, featuring top Liberian Artists and one of Africa greatest duo PSQURE from Nigeria.
If what the reports said are all true, that zogos masterminded the Stampede in New Kru Town and they were influenced by top government staff and oppositions, Don't you think they will be at the ceremony to cause another bloody commemoration? It's with no doubt that the security system will be in tight to make sure nothing goes wrong. Again, Most of us have witnessed how heartless zogos can be especially after abusing drugs. If they have the bravery to attacks peaceful and harmless Christians at a crusade what's about a musical festival where thousands if not millions are expected to attend?
Looking at the thousands of people gearing to attend, Stampede is not the only thing likely to happen. Trample and Suffocation are also top candidates. Matter of fact, Suffocation is the least not expected to happen during the celebrations.
I did not penned this to scare you from attending the Bicentennial because the writer himself will be in attendance, rather to call on the government attention about the security aspect.
