Being a signed Artist must be great, right? Unlike being an independent artist, You've got your management team doing the necessary d*rty work for you. As you can imagine, you're likely to receive more subjection when you're signed to a label as they are well established and have a bigger budget and global reach but in Liberia, most times it turned out to be a difficult and sticky situation. Things seems so different when it comes to Liberian. Maybe it's because of our mentality.

After following the Controversial story between Darbeh Record and their alleged Artist Tikiboy Xmas B, I decided to have a one on one conversation with the Redlight hitmaker concerning the saga. For insight, Darbeh Record is a newly established record label owned by an American based Liberian man called Marcus O Darbeh and has his team here in Liberia. Speaking with him, Tikiboy Xmas B said he have been working with Marcus O Darbeh for a year plus now and there was never a day they had conflict not to talk about scamming him. He added that he have always delivered what's expected of him on time except of the times he faced personal issues.

According to him, he don't know where the problem actually derived from but he believes someone have painted him black to Marcus. When ask who might have paint him that way? Again he replied that he is not sure but his instinct says Elisha(the manager of Darbeh Record) have a hand in what's going on. According to him, just weeks after Elisha was introduced to him, things became to fall apart between them. It's Recorded that both Elisha and Tikiboy Xmas B was seen on set shooting a musical video early this month. To get a clue, I asked; he is a signed Artist at Darbeh Record and Tikiboy Xmas B said he is not a signed Artist but was on the verge of putting pen to paper at Darbeh Record.
When ask if he could put pen to paper after all of this controversies he responded by saying Fvck It, I'm Not Signing For Darbeh Record. Not in this life or the one to come
