It's sadden, most of us don't know our family roots and are ashamed to tell people about it. We are afraid that we might be mock if we go in search of where it all begin. Every journey begins at home. According to studies, The search to learn more about your ancestors, who they were, where they came from, what happened to them starts with conversations between or amongst relatives, in basement rifling through old photos and documents, at the local library or archives researching vital records, or online mining genealogy websites. Sadly for someone us it is never easy like research says cos few of us never had the chance to speak with even the generation before us due to drought, war, recklessness, traveling, untimely Death and the list goes on. I'm one person in such situation.

I once listened to Genealogy expert Megan Smolenyak, the expert who uncovered Barack Obama’s Irish ancestry. In a short video, he describes visiting one’s ancestral home as one of life’s few “universally moving experiences.” and he said it's such a difficult one that will cost lot of money mainly in the earliest weeks of your search. With the help of technology, it's preferable you begin such journey with an online genealogical database before you move in the countryside or wherever you think you can find reliable information about them. One thing everyone should know is that such journey is full of tears; after all you will find more reasons to smile and your heart will be at rest knowing that you know where you came from.

Radio personality Rickslyn Myers have taken a bored step by finding her root. According to her, she never met any of her dad (deceased) family but she remembered her dad(dad's dad) used to stay at 12 street sinkor. She early stated that her dad is from the krahn ethnic group and his last name is 'Karr'

She wrote 👇👇👇
